Description:
This position is a point of contact for financial matters handled within Christ for the Nations involving students and residents. The Financial Stewardship Agent is responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts receivable cycle, from invoicing clients to reconciling accounts and collecting outstanding balances. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Financial Stewardship Agent or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes
Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and send accurate and timely invoices to clients
Verify invoice accuracy, including pricing, terms, and discounts
Monitor and resolve discrepancies in billing
Record and allocate incoming payments accurately
Apply cash receipts to customer accounts and ensure proper account reconciliation
Follow up with students and alumni to collect on outstanding invoices through phone calls, emails, and written communication
Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach in all collection activities
Reconcile customer accounts to resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied payments
Investigate and resolve billing issues, disputes, and discrepancies in a timely manner
Generate and analyze accounts receivable aging reports
Prioritize collection efforts based on the aging of outstanding balances
Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payment terms, and account status
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally
Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable transactions
Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable status to management
