Ways To Give

CFN World Changers

Giving Program
CFN World Changers sustain and grow the operations of CFN through monthly gifts.

Support a Student

Donate to help a student fulfill their tuition or go on an outreach.

A donor advised fund may help you realize your philanthropic goals by supporting Christ For The Nations.

What is a Donor Advised Fund?
A donor advised fund (DAF) is a charitable giving program that makes it easy for donors to dedicate tax-deductible funds to support a nonprofit organization.

How does it work?
Establish your DAF by making an irrevocable, tax-deductible donation to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program.

Christ For The Nations offers common ways to give through planned giving. So, what is planned giving?

  • A major gift made as part of an overall financial and/or estate plan.
  • Gifts include equity, life insurance, real estate, personal property, or cash and can be invested in an endowment fund.

Outright Gifts

Outright Gifts use appreciated assets as a substitute for cash and provide you with charitable deductions.

Wills and Beneficiary Designations

Wills and Beneficiary Designations are payable upon your passing, or at a spouse’s passing, and are exempt from estate taxes.

Charitable Gift Annuities and Charitable Remainder Trusts

Charitable Gift Annuities and Charitable Remainder Trusts return income or can provide other financial benefits to you in return for your contribution.

IRA Distributions

If you are 70½ years or older, an IRA charitable rollover is a great way to advance the mission of Christ For The Nations while satisfying all or part of your required minimum distributions (RMD).

Why consider an IRA charitable rollover?

  • Avoid taxes on transfers of up to $100,000 from your IRA to Christ For The Nations.
  • You pay no income taxes on the gift. The transfer generates neither taxable income nor a tax deduction, so you benefit even if you do not itemize your deductions.
  • Since the gift doesn’t count as income, it can reduce your annual income level. This may help lower your Medicare premiums and decrease the amount of Social Security that is subject to taxation.

How an IRA charitable rollover gift works

  • Contact your IRA plan administrator.
  • Seek the advice of your financial or legal advisor.
  • To include Christ For The Nations in your plans, please use our legal name and federal tax ID. Please let us know of your gift so we can honor your intentions and goals (many retirement providers assume no responsibility in informing nonprofits).

*Please note that IRA charitable rollover gifts do not qualify for a charitable deduction.
Gifts of appreciated securities are an easy way to make a gift to CFN. Giving stocks, bonds or mutual fund shares can have tax advantages for you as well as the capital gains are typically not subject to income tax.

Please check with your broker or accountant to see if a stock gift is right for you.

We will be proud to acknowledge your gift including the date the gift was received and the mean market value for your tax reporting purposes.

Please note that stock gifts sometimes require additional time to process and acknowledge appropriately. Thank you for your patience.
