Dear CFNI Family,

The devastating wildfires that torched hundreds of acres of Maui, Hawaii within the last few days have been horrific. The charred remains of the once beautiful landscape and homes that have been flashed across traditional news outlets and social media platforms have been painful to see.

Beyond the loss of things, we are deeply saddened to have heard of the loss of more than ninety lives that have been reported thus far. Our prayers are with those families who have lost their homes, all their belongings, and or loved ones to the devastating wildfires. It is reported that the fires were caused by unusually strong winds, which knocked electric lines down and started fires.

Dr. Marocco, the senior pastor of the King’s Cathedral in Hawaii is part of our Christ For The Nations family. In the wake of the tragedy, Dr. Marocco and the King’s Cathedral staff have rallied together to help many victims of the wildfires as best as possible. In a video shared on youtube over the weekend, his church welcomed about 200 people who were either displaced or were in need because of the wildfires. While helping these families, he, sadly, lost one of his churches to the fires as well.

It is in times like these that the Body of Christ shines best as a helping hand and as a beacon of hope to the hurting and the displaced. There is an urgent need to help these victims, and we want to be part of the relief work. I am appealing to you to give a financial gift through Christ For The Nations to help mobilize needed resources to minister to those in need. We can do this together!

You can give today on this page. Thank you for providing help and comfort where it matters. Your gift will make a difference!

Sincerely,

Dr. Dennis Lindsay
