Degrees

Earn credit toward a Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or Biblical Studies Degree with online programs modeled after our traditional degree plans.

Elevate your understanding by combining foundational knowledge of theology and basic principles of Christian ministry. You will learn from experienced ministers, missionaries, and other trained professionals from all over the world. The completion of 14 courses will earn you a Certificate of Biblical Studies

Build on the foundational knowledge gained in the Certificate in Biblical Studies (CBS) program by advancing your education to achieve the Associate of Practical Theology. This program offers a comprehensive theological education through 12 elective courses designed to deepen your understanding of the Bible and enhance your practical ministry skills

Get the most out of your CFNI Online education by earning a Bachelor of Practical Ministry. After completing the first two years, your third and final year, comprised of 13 courses and one final research project, allows you to hone in on specific areas of Christian ministry, including biblical counseling, pastoral, and children’s ministry

The Advanced Studies Diploma is designed for vocational ministers and church leaders who desire to expand their knowledge and experience in practical ministry. Those who meet certain criteria can bypass the first two years and go straight into our third-year program.

Transferrable Credits

While we are dedicated to training and equipping students for ministry, CFNI also places a high value on higher education. We deeply appreciate our partnerships with accredited institutions that recognize and accept CFNI credits. Several of our CFNI graduates have gone on to pursue higher education in various fields of study. Learn more about our articulation agreements and co-enrollment option below.
What are articulation agreements and co-enrollments?
  • Articulation agreements between CFNI and accredited colleges guarantee the acceptance and transfer of CFNI credits. As an unaccredited institution, we prioritize ensuring that students can continue their education without losing credits. Our partner schools agree to transfer between 39-90 credit hours, depending on the program.
  • Co-enrollment programs with partner schools allow students to earn credits from both institutions simultaneously, enabling them to complete an accredited bachelor’s degree while studying at CFNI. Currently, only GCU and DBU offer co-enrollment programs.
Dallas Baptist University (DBU)

  • DBU’s one-of-a-kind co-enrollment program allows you to take accredited college courses online and even on our campus alongside CFNI students and alumni.
  • Transfer up to 78 credit hours into any Professional Studies Major.
  • Waive the $25 application fee.
  • Earn a 30% tuition scholarship per semester just for being a CFNI student or graduate, as well as other church-matching gifts and Government-provided financial aid.
  • Take classes either online or on the CFNI campus during hours that work with your DBU class schedule.
  • Interact with a CFNI-dedicated academic advisor.
Grand Canyon University (GCU)

  • GCU, located in Phoenix, AZ, was known as the world’s largest Christian university in 2018.
  • Tuition begins at $395/credit hour.
  • The co-enrollment and articulation agreement is with the Christian Studies Major via their online program.
  • Transfer up to 72 credit hours.
  • Classes are 8 weeks long, and you can take as little as one class at a time.
  • Earn 4 credit hours in each class.
  • There is potential to graduate from GCU and CFNI within a period of only 3 years.
  • You may be eligible for financial aid.
  • Interact with a CFNI-dedicated academic advisor.
The Kings University (TKU)

  • TKU and Gateway Church’s close relationship with Christ For The Nations Institute allows CFNI grads to transfer their credits and complete an accredited bachelor’s degree in different areas of Christian ministry just north of their alma mater.
  • Waive the TKU application fee.
  • Transfer up to 90 credit hours.
  • Eligible to receive a CFNI Scholarship if enrolled full-time on campus, which provides up to $2,000 the first year and up to $1,500 each year after.
  • Complete your degree either on campus or entirely online.
Oral Roberts University (ORU)

  • Explore ORU’s top programs in education, research, and more at their campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
  • Transfer up to 45 credit hours.
  • Waive the ORU application fee.
  • Offer CFNI graduates a scholarship of $2,000 annually for full-time undergraduate study on-campus or online (Fall and Spring semesters – $1,000 per semester).

  • Transfer up to 63 credit hours for a Bachelor of Arts in Counseling degree.
  • Transfer up to 75 credit hours for a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry degree.
  • Transfer up to 39 credit hours for an Associate of Arts in Christian Ministry degree.
  • Complete your degree either residentially or entirely online.
  • The application fee is waived for CFNI graduates.
  • Tuition discount available for online students.
  • Scholarships are available for residential (in housing) students.
  • Interact with a CFNI-dedicated admissions advisor.
