How much does it cost to attend CFNI?
  • Costs vary based on your marital status, choice of housing and meal plan. It is important to know that prices are per semester. Review our Tuition and Fees for a full price breakdown.

What does the weekly schedule look like for a CFNI student?
  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Tuesday Night Encounter (TNE): Every Tuesday at 7:00 PM
    (Note: Third-year students are not required to attend TNE.)
What kind of housing is offered at CFNI?

We offer on-campus housing for both single and married students.

  • Single students: Men and women live in standard dorms, with options for semi-private or private rooms based on eligibility.
  • Married students: Family apartments vary by size, depending on household needs and availability.

Does CFNI offer any meal plans?
  • We require all single students who live on campus to purchase a meal plan. If a student has a pre-existing medical/dietary condition making them unable to eat food from our cafeteria, they are welcome to apply for a meal plan exemption. We do not require married students living in family housing to purchase a meal plan. However, they will have the option to purchase one if desired.
Can I see the on-campus housing options before arriving?
  • Yes! Take a few moments to visit our Campus Life page and watch the Campus Tour video. This will not only show you our apartments, but also the rest of our campus.
Will I have any roommates?
  • Single men and women may have between 3-5 roommates, depending on the apartment size. Private and semi-private housing options are available for those who would like to live alone or with a single roommate. These options are based on availability and require pre-approval (MUST be over 25 years of age to be considered for approval).
What happens at CFNI during the summer?
  • The summer is an exciting time at CFNI! Students have the opportunity to fulfill their summer credit through an international outreach or on-campus internship with Youth For The Nations (YFN) or Kids For The Nations (KFN) + Preteen Impact. A summer credit is an additional cost and is required for students during their first year. Students enrolled in the Advanced Studies Diploma are not required to complete a summer credit.

Is CFNI accredited? 
  • The Christ For The Nations Board of Directors has prayerfully and intentionally chosen not to pursue accreditation. This decision was based on the extensive use of personnel and financial resources required to maintain accreditation, and we desire to maintain tuition costs at the lowest affordable level possible. It should be noted that up to 90 credit hours earned at CFNI can be transferred to regionally and nationally accredited universities. To learn more about our Partner Schools click HERE.
Can I apply Financial Aid and/or scholarships to my CFNI school bill?
  • Though Financial Aid is not available, Christ For The Nations Institute offers various discounts. You may apply one discount to your school bill per semester. Please contact our Admissions team for more information.

International Students FAQ

Where can I access my I-20?
  • International students can obtain their I-20 after completing the admissions process and receiving notice of acceptance to CFNI. In addition to transcripts and other admission-related documents, we require original financial documents showing adequate funds available to study. The financial documents must be no more than one year old at the time you are to start attending CFNI.
How do I pay my SEVIS fee?
  • The U.S. Government requires the SEVIS fee, also called the I-901 Fee, to be paid online before visiting the embassy.

What documents do I need in order to obtain my F-1 VISA?
  • The U.S. Government outlines VISA interview requirements for international students on their website. CFNI International Affairs will send you an I-20 packet, which includes your official acceptance letter, an embassy letter and your I-20.

What documents must I have to enter the United States?
  • International students need the following documents to enter the United States:
    • I-20
    • F-1 / F-2 VISA
    • Valid Passport (Must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry.)

How do I transfer to CFNI from another U.S. college?
  • We require additional documentation from international students transferring from another institution of higher learning prior to their acceptance to CFNI.
    • Transfer Clearance Form (Must be filled out by your current school.)
    • A copy of your current I-20 and additional I-20’s for each dependent.
    • A copy of your current VIA and additional VISA’s for each dependent.
  • Once we have received all of the documents listed above and you have been accepted to CFNI, you must request an acceptance letter from our Department of International Student Affairs. You will receive a new I-20 when you arrive to CFNI.

Online Program FAQ

Can I attend CFNI Online from overseas?
  • Yes. Students are welcome to enroll in our online classes as long as they have access to a reliable internet connection.
What does a typical week look like for an online student?
  • CFNI Online consists of pre-recorded, high-quality video teachings. The coursework is organized and divided into 8 weeks. Each week includes 1-3 video teachings, reading assignments, and discussion questions. Most courses include one or two written assignments, a midterm, and a final exam or project.
Is financial aid available?
  • Student loans and government aid are not available to our online students. CFNI Online tuition is kept low to ensure affordability and to prevent students from incurring debt. We offer our students a payment plan, allowing them to pay 40% of their tuition by registration, followed by two consecutive payments.
When do online courses start for each term?
  • We offer five 8-week sessions per academic year:
    • Spring – Session A starts in January
    • Spring – Session B starts in March
    • Summer Session starts in June
    • Fall – Session A starts in August
    • Fall – Session B starts in October
How long is an online term?
  • Each online session is 8 weeks.
How many courses can I take each term?
  • Students have the option to take between 1 and 4 courses per term.
How can I obtain my textbooks?
  • Textbook requirements are listed in each course’s syllabus. We advise students to purchase textbooks through their preferred vendor. Some manuals and workbooks will be available immediately in downloadable PDF format.
  • A $15.00 workbook fee will be included in the course cost.
Can I transfer the credits obtained through CFNI Online?
  • Yes. CFNI Online students have the opportunity to transfer to our Dallas, Texas campus for an in-person CFNI experience.
  • Additionally, students can transfer credits to one of our partner schools to pursue an accredited degree. Read more about our partner schools.
How do I transfer the credits earned in the CFNI Online courses I’ve taken?
  • We maintain a record of each completed course and the final grades for our students. If a CFNI Online student decides to transfer to on-campus, they should inform their admissions advisor. Once accepted on campus, our registrar will transfer the appropriate credits to their on-campus degree plan. Students wishing to transfer to one of our partner schools will be provided with a transcript upon request.
