This class is full of the sweet presence of God. These little ones get to know God’s love for them through the love they feel from their teachers and the experience in worshiping God together with friends. These children enjoy discovering the world God made for them through play, art, and story time.
This is an incredible age to lay the foundation of the joy of knowing Jesus and His love for His people. This is a foundational year where we make the stories from the Bible come alive and encourage expressions of worship with movement and dance. We hope to unlock the creative side of every child through outdoor play, a weekly visit to the gym, indoor imaginative play, and many other tactile stimulating activities. In the Joy class the children are also introduced to numbers, colors, shapes, and letters.
This class focuses on helping children acquire the academic skills they will need to transition into formal school. Children in the 4’s & 5’s class experience cooking and science once a week and also fun activities like dress up, arts and crafts. In this class the most foundational truth we teach them is loving God and loving others. Children learn the Ten Commandments and memorize Bible verses throughout the semester. They are encouraged to enter into God’s presence through prayer and daily worship. One of the greatest blessings in this class is seeing the children come together to pray for the nations. Each child in this class has the opportunity to be the star student for the week, allowing them to celebrate their unique qualities and share their interests with their peers.
The preschool follows the same dates as the CFN academic year. You can review the academic calendar below. There is a special photo day and a Preschool Presentation each semester where the children showcase their Biblical knowledge and worship in front of the student body. These dates vary by semester.
