Description:
This position is the primary point of contact for all financial matters handled within Christ for the Nations involving students and alumni. As a Student Accounts Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing current student accounts, financial transactions, and ensuring the smooth financial operations of our institution. You will work closely with students, parents, and colleagues to address inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain accurate financial records. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to maintaining financial compliance.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in student accounts, financial aid, or a related role is a plus
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information and discretion
Special Requirements:
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and update student accounts records in compliance with university policies and regulations
Monitor account balances, process tuition payments, manage outreach accounts, student discounts, and reconcile accounts accurately
Receive payments in form of check, cash, or card
Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and staff by promptly responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing accurate information
Generate and distribute tuition bills, invoices, and statements to students and their families
Work with students to set up payment plans and arrange for deferred payment options when necessary
Prepare and analyze financial reports related to student accounts, including aging reports and delinquency reports
Assist in financial audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting data
Implement and enforce financial policies and procedures related to student accounts
Utilize accounting and student information systems to manage student accounts and track financial transactions accurately
