At Christ For The Nations Institute, ministry training extends beyond the classroom. As part of their degree, students enrolled in the Certificate, Associate, or Bachelor programs must complete a Summer Requirement.
The Summer Requirement provides hands-on ministry experience through approved opportunities such as Youth For The Nations (YFN), Kids For The Nations (KFN), and Outreaches, which are short-term mission trips. These environments allow students to serve, grow in leadership, and apply what they are learning while impacting children, students, and communities around the world. This experience is a vital part of CFNI’s commitment to equipping students for lifelong ministry and service.
Please note that the Summer Requirement includes additional tuition costs outside of the fall and spring semesters, as well as associated expenses such as summer student housing for camps and travel costs for outreaches.
Students may complete their Summer Requirement through one of the following approved ministry environments:
The Summer Requirement is an opportunity for students to:
The tuition cost for the Summer Requirement is the same, regardless of which approved opportunity a student selects. However, associated costs may vary depending on placement. You can review the summer tuition and housing costs here.
For YFN and KFN interns, additional expenses may include summer student housing, with costs determined by housing type and length of stay. For Summer Outreaches, associated expenses may include travel, flights, meals, and ministry supplies, based on the specific assignment.
Students enrolled in the Certificate, Associate, or Bachelor programs at CFNI must complete the Summer Requirement to graduate. This is typically fulfilled during the first summer of their program.
Students who do not complete the Summer Requirement will not be eligible to graduate.
